The deep ruby-hued 2023 Crozes-Hermitage Hauterives is a serious, structured wine in the vintage, and it's clearly outstanding. Ripe blackberries, framboise, crushed stone, leather, and spicy notes define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, concentrated, with ripe tannins and a great finish. Aged 11 months in concrete tanks, it has enough structure to warrant 2-3 years of bottle age.
