Honig Description
The classic cherry and plum fruit characters that define the Bartolucci Vineyard are ever present in wines from this vineyard. This richly textured bottling presents the palate with a lovely mlange of floral notes, white pepper, spice box, and plum tart. It finishes with enticing cocoa power tannins, bright cherry and ripe berry flavors. Concentrated and rich, this age worthy wine is quite enjoyable upon release and will easily continue to be delicious for at least another 10 years.
Wine Advocate: 95 Points
Scents of black cherries and cassis emerge on the nose of the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Bartolucci Vineyard, which comes from a site tucked up into the western edge of Saint Helena. Hints of charred oak and scorched coffee accent the dark fruit, while the full-bodied palate is rich and concentrated yet finishes long and silky.
Wine Spectator: 93 Points
A dark, frankly ripe style, with acai and blackberry reduction notes teaming up with ganache and dark tobacco accents to form a dense, grippy core backed by licorice root and apple wood on the gusty finish. For fans of the muscular style.
