What disinguishes this Picpoul from the others is its texture and weight. There's actual body to this wine. Of course, there's also the wonderful display of bright citrus notes and zingy acidity that is typical of Picpoul de Pinet. It's a classic shellfish white, served chilled with fresh oysters or shrimp cocktail.
Domaine Cabrol Description
The Cabrols bottle several cuvées distinguished by different locations and soil types. The vines for this cuvée grow on a hillside at 250 meters above sea level in a red, stony, marl-limestone soil.
Brilliant robe with green tints. A young floral nose, a symphony of aromas blending citrus fruit and acacia flowers. Crisp and harmonious on the palate with grapefruit to the fore and the freshness characteristic of this varietal. Serve well chilled. Perfect with seafood, shellfish and fish dishes. May also be served as an aperitif, alone or with a dash of blackcurrant or blackberry liqueur.
