Buglioni Description
Il Lussurioso gets its name from the long lasting, luxurious, finish it has on the palate. This Amarone is made from 100% estate fruit, which comes from Buglioni's Vignieto San Pietro in Valpolicella Classico. The vineyard, Sant'Ambrogio is located at an altitude of about 495ft and consists of dark, clayey soils with a high content of gravel. Grapes are manually harvested towards mid-September and are dried until January using the appassimento process. The wine is certified organic.
60% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, 5% Croatina, 5% Oseleta
Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red color. Scents of cherry, black cherry, and white pepper, with mineral notes. Soft, fresh, and elegant with a long lasting finish. Pairs well with sharp cheeses, marbled red meats, raw dishes or deep-sea fish.
