Louis Cheze Description
Oh! It is a bold challenge, these are steely hills, yet i long for ordeals. Such a beautiful craft where hard work and humility are “de rigueur”, these great terrors are there, and are revealed only by man’s Work. The respect of the wine, a particular winemaking for each parcel, a specific growth for each wine style. That is the winegrower’s philosophy that I make every day.

TASTING NOTES
Visual aspect: Garnet color, limpid and deep.
Aromas: Nose of great complexity, red fruits, sweet spices fine wood notes.
Taste: Delicate in the mouth with fine tannins, very persistent, long finish.
Wine Spectator: 95 Points
Bright, pure and racy, with a sleek, iron-edged structure supporting the core of red currant, bitter cherry and damson plum fruit. Light bay leaf and olive nuances add sparkly energy throughout. Cellar for maximum effect. Best from 2020 through 2035.

Vinous Media
Lurid ruby. Smoke-accented aromas of fresh dark berries, candied licorice, spicecake and black pepper, joined by a slowly emerging smoky nuance. Bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors show outstanding clarity and lift thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes extremely long and sappy, with building spiciness and smooth tannins lending subtle grip.
