Meikle Toir Description
The new peated distillate from the GlenAllachie distillery. The Chinquapin One was matured in a mix of American oak ex-Bourbon barrels and Chinquapin virgin oak barrels; a favoured variety of oak for Master Distiller Billy Walker. Smouldering oak embers leap out of the nose, before notes of burnt liquorice and honeycomb, with wild heather, ginger and orange peel. Crème brûlée and dark chocolate are revealed on the palate, with brittle toffee and cinnamon, with a touch of aniseed and a lingering campfire smoke.
