Giffard Description
Giffard liqueurs are made with tradition and quality, blending established processes like slow maceration, with cutting-edge methods, in order to achieve the uncompromised taste of whole, natural fruits, herbs and spices. Since 1885, four generations of the Giffard family have worked hard to continuously provide the world with quality liqueurs and syrups
Created in 1885 by Emile Giffard, then a pharmacist in Angers, who transformed his pharmacy into a distillery.
White mint liqueur, transparent, obtained from essential oils of peppermint (Mitcham type).
Tasting Notes: On the nose, very nice peppermint aromas. The whole is very pleasant thanks to the fresh and spicy breath that emanates from it. Fresh and balanced mouth. The flavor of peppermint invades the palate leaving an extreme sensation of freshness.

THE ORIGINAL WHITE LADY.
This is the original recipe of the White Lady created in 1919 by Harry MacElhone while working at Ciro’s Club in London. In 1923 he created another recipe at his own Harry’s New York bar in Paris replacing Triple Sec by Cointreau and Crème de Menthe by Gin.
1 Ounce Menthe-Pastille
1 3/4 Ounces Triple Sec
1 Ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
