Bruichladdich Description
Ultra-high provenance and fully traceable from farm to glass, The Laddie Rye is distilled using locally grown rye and Islay malting barley, before aging in a combination of quality bourbon barrels and Virgin American Oak.

MASH BILL: 55% Islay rye, grown and harvested at Coull Farm. 45% Islay malting barley, cultivated by multiple local farming partners in 2016 all within a 11 mile radius of Bruichladdich Distillery.
MATURATION PROFILE: The spirit has aged in a mix of first fill bourbon barrels and first fill Virgin American Oak casks. These Virgin Oak casks include ‘regular’ American oak and Crianza. The American oak is toasted rather than charred, releasing sweet caramel, coconut and vanilla aromas and flavors from the wood without dominating the spirit (as a heavily charred cask could do).
