Boyer-Martenot Description
From the Côte de Beaune 1er cru region of Meursault, this parcel of land has very rocky soil (‘pierre’ in French) hence the name «Les Perrières». Perrières is located above «Les Charmes» and next to the vineyards of Puligny Montrachet. From a very famous region this wine gives us all the finest flavours and aromas seducing our palates with sumptuous and evocative perfumes ending on hints of chestnuts.
Wine Advocate: 90 Points
The 2013 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrieres has a very backward nose that refuses to budge, despite vigorous coaxing (though I found this to be not unusual during my tastings.) The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, intense lightly honeyed fruit, but like this domaine’s other 2013s, it will need three or four years to open.
