Apollonio is dark ruby in color with a nose of blackberries, prunes, leather and barnyard notes. Full-bodied with concentrated fruit and smooth texture, it is well balanced to enjoy over the next 6-7 years. Aged for 6 months in small French and Russian oak barrels. The finish is long and velvety. Enjoy Apollonio Salice Salentino Rosso with pork tenderloin, roast chicken, pasta with meat sauce and aged cheeses.
