Antica Enotria Falu Rosso 2005
One of our great finds in organic wines, and Apulian wines in general, is this beautiful, ripe wine made from 100% Montepulciano. Most of the reds from Apulia (the heel of the boot) feature either Primitivo or Negroamaro or are blends of the two, so we were surprised to find this grape (the mainstay of Abruzzo and Marches) to have 'wandered' this far south. Whatever the reason, we're glad that it was made and want to pass an insider tip along to you. Try a bottle, you'll be glad that you did.
