Willamette Valley Vineyards
The 2008 Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir is an elegant wine that truly expresses the terroir of the three unique vineyard sites within the Willamette Valley that contribute to this bottling. Aromas of cherry, pie spice, nuts and plum, are complimented by just a hint of brown sugar sweetness on the nose. A sweet entry with flavors of tart red cherry, raspberry, orange peel, black pepper and dark chocolate. A lively, spicy sip with mouthfilling body, lively acid and balanced, round tannins. The finish is long, juicy, and just a little spicy. Appealing now but will further reward those who cellar this wine. Drink now through 2016. Pair with prime rib, quail, duck, wild game, and winter vegetables-especially mushrooms. Great paired with dishes with complex spices. Try with a variety of medium to strong cheeses.
Wine Spectator
Light and fragrant, with some density to the black cherry and fresh orange peel aromas and flavors, weaving in a brewed tea note as the finish persists against refined tannins. Drink now through 2018. 3,379 cases made. -HS

The 2008 Pinot Noir Estate is a blend of 3 parcels aged in 50% new oak. Medium ruby red with a pleasing perfume of cedar, spice box, rose petal, cherry, and cranberry, on the palate it is packed with spicy fruit, has ample ripe tannin, and good balance. It is a relatively forward effort that can be approached now and over the next 8 years.

Biodynamic designation is regulated by Demeter, an international certification organization. Biodynamic agriculture is based on the view of a farm as a self-contained organism. Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
