Fattoria di Fèlsina
Brilliant, rich ruby red. Spicy nose with floral notes and wild berry nuances. Spice continues in the mouth, nicely complemented by a dense, soft fabric of youthful tannins; excellent structure and superb overall character.
International Wine Cellar
Impressive dark ruby color. Expressive aromas of blackcurrant, plum, mint and cigar box, all lifted by a mineral element. Dense and rich, combining Pinot Noir-like texture and refinement with syrah-like flavors of rare meat and raspberry liqueur. This boasts a wonderfully tactile feel and a remarkably long, palate-staining finish. A great Chianti with loads of personality.

Very deep garnet-purple colour. Intense nose of blackberries, blueberries, cardamom, mint, Mediterranean herbs and violets. Medium+ grainy tannins, medium to high acidity support the richness of fruit on the palate. Long finish. Drink now to 2020.

Wine Enthusiast
Compared to Felsina’s other Riserva from the same vintage, Rancia offers more evident use of oak and is shaped by natural aromas of bright berry and supple notes of vanilla and spice. There’s also an earthy tone that recalls the beautiful territory of Castelnuovo Berardenga. It is succulent and sophisticated and has a long menthol-driven finish.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying.
